Opening and contributing to a Utah Educational Savings Plan (UESP) account is simple. There are:

• no enrollment fees
• no minimum deposit requirements
• no ongoing contribution requirements
• no withdrawal fees

Before you  open a UESP account make sure you have the following information:

• The account owner’s birth date and U.S. Social Security or Tax Identification Number
• The beneficiary’s birth date and U.S. Social Security or Tax Identification Number

To open an account:

1. Read the Program Description.
2. Open the account online in as little as 10 minutes or complete the Individual Account Agreement and return it to UESP.
3. Choose an investment option
4. Make your initial contribution online or by check, automatic contribution (one-time or recurring), wire transfer, bill pay, or payroll contribution.
